Hi, I'm Jessica

Port Moody has been my home for 20 years and I couldn't imagine giving back to any other community than this. With kids that will spend 17 years in our school system, I will be there with you every step of the way. Experienced, dedicated, and committed to serving you as your next Port Moody SD43 Trustee.

Why I'm running

I am so excited to be running for School Trustee in Port Moody this election. Port Moody has been my home for over 20 years. It is where my husband and I are raising our two incredible young daughters and where they will spend the next 17 years in our SD43 school system.

You may also know my husband Callan, who serves Port Moody as a City Councillor. Service to this community runs through our whole family, and I see his role as an asset for our schools. He has advocated to the province to have schools built for when students need them, not years after, and to build for the future. I want the same. I believe strong collaboration between the school board and City Hall is how Port Moody’s priorities get heard, and results will be achieved.

I’m running for School Trustee because I want the same thing you do. Schools in Port Moody where every child is safe, supported and given a real opportunity to thrive.

Jessica's qualifications. Your first choice.

As co-owner of Squish Juicery, the cold-pressed juice company my husband and I built and ran for six years, I had the opportunity to hire and mentor more than 30 high school students, many in their very first jobs. I understand the skills, guidance and support young people need to succeed in the workplace, and I’m proud of the experience we helped them gain.

These students and young adults poured their heart and soul into providing the best customer service possible, and together, we were proud to earn three consecutive Best Overall Service Awards in the city from the Tri-Cities A-List. Our business was also honoured as the 2022 Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year. In 2019, I was recognized as one of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Top to Watch, followed by being named Young Professional of the Year in 2020.

These experiences have shaped how I approach leadership, service and community. I am committed to ensuring our residents receive the same level of dedication, accountability and service from me as one of your school board trustees. I will be your champion for fundraising and transparency, keeping you informed about important policies and the strategic direction of your school board, as well as the work being done to advocate for our schools with our provincial government partners.

With your support and your vote, I am committed to serving three terms on our school board and, most importantly, to showing up and doing the work. Port Moody deserves consistent, dedicated representation and a strong voice at the table, and I am committed to ensuring our community is heard and represented. I can promise you I will be your most collaborative trustee and strongest advocate.
